270th Anniversary edition of the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle rose gold vs Patek 5212a
Have recently been given the opportunity to purchase the Vacheron Constantin traditionelle in rose gold. Was not expecting it, but tried it on and was amazed by the dial. Originally I intended to purchase the Patek 5212a, and now I am stuck in a bit of a conundrum. Which one would the collectors here chose? I do not intend on selling the watch, but would be good if i can expect the prices of the watch to drop by just around 20%. Thanks!

Neither for me
That VC dial is not for me and the PP dial is entirely too busy for me. I’d consider a Lange 1815 38.5 mm instead. But you should get the one that evokes the most emotion in you . Good luck!

I'd probably just go for the regular VC Traditionelle...
The 5212 never appealed to me and I'm not a fan of over-use of a brand's insignia/motiff (similar to the excessive use of the Maltese Cross in the Overseas line). The VC dial motiff will not age well, IMO
Very tough choice, as, for me, each watch has its strengths and weaknesses.

And, if you buy from of an official boutique, I think that getting an allocation for the Patek wouldn’t be easy.

I really love the Traditionelle case and movement.
