Def fun with the little ones (not pictured is a 3 month) but very challenging at times. He’s just over 30 months and a bundle of energy.
And agree with the watch. Almost got the new panda too, but didn’t like something about it. Think it’s the different bezel compared to this 2nd generation. Still beautiful, just not as much imho.

On the way for bedtime stories, our son grabbed this book. After a few pages opted for something more age appropriate. And wearing this great watch at the time. ...

Both of your 'kids' . The Overseas is one of the greatest ever.... Cheers to your family, Filip

Time with your kids is the most precious thing you can have so enjoy every second of it. It can be very stressful and challenging too (I know too well myself as a dad of a soon 3-year old girl ) but they grow up so fast that it is unreal. There is nothing...

Adorable !

Congratulations to having the most precious gift that life can give you and cherish every possible moment! I also had that Overseas few years back and I’m convinced, that it’s a much better reference than the latest iteration, ergonomically, horologically...

So true about the current Overseas in comparison.

Seeing the above wrist shot I go looking on the VC website only to be disappointed (relatively speaking).

My exact sentiments!

Usually I expect brands to improve on an existing model, but here arguably this is not the case…

In what way is the 2nd gen objectively better?

 By: Carlos22 : March 22nd, 2024-12:52
I prefer the large date at 12 and the textured dials. However the movement does not hack and has a relatively short power reserve (probably due to the big date). Are there other reasons you prefer the 2nd gen or is it just a matter of opinion? I have not ...

No, no, we were both saying that we don’t like the current (2nd) generation.

The previous generation, like your piece, is excellent and much more preferred.👍🏽

In my experience, the second gen. Has better ergonomics.

It sits much better on the wrist due to the luck of (bubble), on the movement side which they achieved by using a thinner/finer caliber(FP 1185). True that it doesn’t have hacking seconds but it’s “hackeble”, before you fully wind the watch. Also if you e...

Thank you for the insightful reply!

You are correct about all of the positive aspects about the 2nd gen. The lack of hacking doesn’t bother me too much as I just backwind to hold the seconds steady while setting the time. I have had the opportunity to handle many watches and few come close ...

Adorable!!
