one of my lions, the Patek enamel Rousseau Lion.
My other lion belongs to the “Jungle” by Chopard using Urushi (Japanese lacquer) painting.
Although the UN enamel dog is beautifully done, especially with the subtle details in the background, IMO it comes close to but not at the same level as the Rousseau lion made by Anita Porchet. More wires were used in creating the Rousseau lion and leaves next to it. Hence, this lion contains much more minute details in the foreground and has more colors & color gradations.
The Chopard Urushi Jungle Lion is also very well done and is hand painted ! You need to inspect this piece to really understand and appreciate it.

a bit like a fox ! Now based on inputs from PuristS, the Zodiac needs the year of the foxy wolf that looks like a dog, or foxy dog that looks like a wolf !
For the Japanese market?

Made for the Japanese market? An Akita? Whatever, the dog is much too cheerful and affectionately painted to be a wolf, isn't it?
