Top Gun: Maverick Soundtrack

My main source of love and inspiration from modern music since childhood were always feature film soundtracks. With this said, I haven't purchased a soundtrack in more than a decade since there hasn't been any personally compelling ones released in too long a time (I feel since TRON Legacy in 2010!). So, when I finally listened to the new compositions from Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe, their team at Remote Control Productions, and of course Harold Faltermeyer's original Top Gun Anthem for the recently released Top Gun: Maverick, I was hugely impressed with the new music created for the film. I feel that the Remote Control staff did a wonderful job at creating a modern yet nostalgic set of compositions, and the original Anthem stands its ground beautifully to this day.... I am typing this without even having seen the film itself, I will do so tomorrow afternoon with my family........ (Also, just for the record, I was never a particular Tom Cruise aficionado, he's a hugely committed professional, but hugely questionable as a private person; still, I don't allow something like that to negatively influence my opinion and enjoyment of an enormous film production like this one!) I truly appreciate the positive sentiments which give me an air of enthusiasm before tomorrow's viewing . Again, I'm seeing it in IMAX format so the effect of the cinematography ought to be at its peak potential . Cheers, Filip
