Yes you are correct, the 1960's design used a lot of dots. This is a modern cue built on an antique and in the style of the Great Mosconi generation .

It certainly is over kill for a typical
night of 8-Ball. To prevent the cue from cracking due to extreme old age, it certainly won't see much chalk. The original blank was most likely made with animal glue, which after 5 decades maybe very brittle. Why bother? For a pool enthusiast, this is lik...
