The Same Family built a similar mosque in Delhi and the Taj Mahal, I think that wall is really old loool most of it is complete but they do restorative work from time to time, I remember in the mid 1990s that park next to the wall would be filled with drug addicts sleeping at night, it was shocking, almost all of them wore white and lay in perfect rows, surreal sight, now the area is cleaned up and gentrified.
The Pakistan Monument (Minar e Pakistan) is right behind the Mosque, this area is near the old city wall, had 13 gates, only 5 survive, I live in the suburbs 😊
The Architect was from Dagestan, Russia and a love letter to Pakistan.
