I own the same model pen from MB but in black, it is one of my favorite pens, especially to put in your pocket along with a thin a6 notebook to scribble something in a cafe, take notes etc, so easy to carry around. Even though it is very small, it is around 30gr so feels secure and precise in ones hand. The nib is not flex or anything but bouncy and like butter, a delight to write with. However I understand your point of view that they are very expensive for what they are and agree with you. I saw this same model in a MB boutique, it is not red like in the photos but a slightly lighter coral color, it is a delight to look at.
I understand that MB pens are very expensive and agree with you on that point, but also I need to hand them that no one does more for fountain pens then MB. They have brick and mortar boutiques in every big city where people can enter and try different styles of pens and nibs, which is a difficult thing to maintain nowadays.
Also would like to draw your attention to their bespoke nib program, below you may see the examples
In big boutiques, with a specialized machine they take samples of your writing to understand the pressure, the nib angle etc of your writing and produce the nib especially for you. Granted, you have to pay through the nose for a bespoke factory nib, but no other producer is even close to producing this many nibs apart from their regular production.
So in the end, I agree that for what they are MB pens are too expensive, but need to hand it that without them, the fountain pen world would probably not be the same.
