During my recent visit to New York City, I finally had the chance to walk the High Line, a public park created on an abandoned, elevated rail line 30 feet in the air on the lower west side of Manhatten. The creation of this park is both a success of grass...

I think the High Line project is one of the most inspired bits of urban improvement to have hit America in ages. What a wonderful use of space! The design is quite thoughtful and it seems like a perfect oasis in the middle of the city. Very nice! :-) Hope...

I was there shortly after it opened to the public and was quite impressed by it. What a great way to reclaim an unused space. Unfortunately (or possibly fortunately) for me it wasn't until I was back in Los Angeles that I heard about some of the "shows" c...
