Hi, thx for the compliment and very relevant questions
We’re living at 1200m high, so not that high compared to a lot of other villages in the Swiss alps. There are some 300 people living permanently on the “alm” spread over a large surface. There is a cable car connection (a lot used by the children to go to school) but also a non public road (which requires some driving skills in winter 😀). In the end shops and hospital are only 20-30 mins away. In case of emergency (health, mountain related,…) the rescue helicopter is here in 5 to 10 minutes as the base is very close.
And we don’t need police as no one is closing the front door or their car 😀.
