... and discover so many horological friends sharing a similar passion for writing instruments.
I have been collecting pens for more than 30 years, specially Fountain Pens. Both modern and vintage.
Among vintage, I got a nice collection of Parker 51, which represents a world on itself with so many variants, many of them very very rare, collectible ... and expensive!
Trying to gather a comprhensive collection of "51" is a true challenge which could take a lots of years to find and collect, as well as a big investment.
Fountain pens share a common beautiful characteristic with watches: these are charming objects to collect, and you can enjoy wearing or using them daily.
In spite of the fact that most of our tasks at office today are made with a computer, I manage to take notes, sign documents and checks with my Fountain Pens, and I rotate them daily as I do with my watches.
I also collect Dip Pens, which is a very interesting aspect of writing instruments. I like to write with them form time to time too!
I run three Blogs devoted to Fountain Pens, to writing and one specializes in Parker 51. I must recognize that I have them a bit abandoned lately because my job gives very little free time.
Thank you so much for your opening of this thread and thank you to our friends for sharing their pens! Cheers!
Abel.
