Went to a water conservation garden displaying drought tolerant plants. Tried to get some ideas for our garden at home that will save us on water bill. I was amazed at how colorful some drought tolerant plants were. Always thought of cactus and succulants...

Hello DRMW, We just finished landscaping our back yard, along with putting up a pergola over the BBQ area. But we are always looking for ideas to see if we like anything enough to add to what we alrready have. Half the fun is in the hunt. Cheers, Frederic... 

We put in some aloe vera plants and some birds of paradise, low maintenance and they grow like crazy! -MW

The roots go everywhere and it's a tough plant to keep confined to one area after a few years. Almost as bad as non-clumping bamboo.
