This is a House?
We visited a neighbor who has been helping my wife with the Garden Club plant sale (storing the excess inventory for awhile). We came around this area a few months ago in an episode called "Earth Cruiser' but today we were invited into the acres of property and gardens.
This structure is 110 years old and it's owned by a nice widow who found herself with multiple properties that were too much for her, so she decided to "simplify" and scale down to just one place.
There are lions on each end of the driveway entrance, as well as this beautiful one... and there are lampposts scattered around too. Is she a Narnia fan? (we didn't ask)

Despite the No Trespassing Sign, the squirrels were quite brave to be jumping around on a fence right in front of us.

This is a watering can fish.

I bent down to examine the blue flower and came eye-to-eye with this lazy lizard.

The three angry free-range chickens were trying to get out of their coop. The owner's old dog died recently and they are temporarily penned up until the new dog is trained to leave them alone.

As Inspector Clouseau would say, this is NOT my dog. Lola is not the chicken-chaser, it's JoJo (not shown)

Today's watch!

I'm sure you want to see the house. Let me just preface this by saying it has 10 bathrooms and maybe 16 bedrooms or so. This is the back / garden side.

Below is the second living block / apartments and to the right is the garage and two bedrooms over that, built for driver and mechanic(s). Remember in the 1920's it took a bit of work and help to have a car.

As we walked around the house to leave, the lizard was still there.

Once the painters and plasterers finish, the whole house will be painted like this.

Cazalea (Hibiscus)

PS - Did I mention the Airstream in the back garden? Just so they have another place to store things without having to walk all the way back to the main house...
