I love this movie as well as almost all the ones directed by Kurosawa. Other favorites: Apocalypse Now, and Tora!Tora!Tora! ( I guess that is why I'm in the military) What are your favorite movies? Cheers, Mike

It all depends on what mood I'm in I'm a huge film fan and have many that I like, but couldn't possibly pick a favorite. I just watched The Conformist (Bertolucci) the other night which was quite good.

. . . in the house . . . I already listed my three favorites - "Black Narcissus", "Last Holiday", and "Tales of Manhattan" - but I could easily add a few more: "Blow Up", "Captain's Paradise", "Lawrence of Arabia", "Bullitt", "The Deerhunter", "My Dinner ... 

Tough to beat a good Steve Mcqueen film too.
