:-) Not modest, just open-minded.

 

In truth, I feel like I'm married already...to my job!  As for James Bond, I'd rank the actors who portrayed him (only in the EON-produced films, as I consider these the only true Bond movies) as follows (from most to least favorite IMO):

1. Sean Connery (best film IMO: Goldfinger; worst IMO: Diamonds Are Forever)
2. Daniel Craig (best film IMO: Casino Royale; worst: TBD)
3. Roger Moore (best film IMO: For Your Eyes Only; worst IMO: Moonraker)
4. Pierce Brosnan (best film IMO: Tomorrow Never Dies; worst IMO: Die Another Day)
5. George Lazenby (only starred in one film and I actually really liked it: On Her Majesty's Secret Service)
6. Timothy Dalton (best film IMO: The Living Daylights; worst IMO: License To Kill)

I go back and forth about Moore and Brosnan.  Some days I'd put Brosnan at #3 over Moore, depending upon my mood.

My favorite era of Bond films was the 1960s, but the recent Casino Royale was EXCELLENT.  Still, Goldfinger remains the definitive Bond film for me, as Sir Sean will always be my #1 James Bond.  I am crazy about the film franchise and want to decorate my home office one day with vintage James Bond posters.  Also, if I ever owned a boat, it would be named the Disco Volante after Emilio Largo's boat in Thunderball.  I think I love James Bond so much because I have happy childhood memories of watching the movies with my father, and when I was a little girl and my father traveled often, I imagined he was a glamorous spy just like James Bond!  smile

Your love of James Bond alone has fulfilled all 10 criteria under age 25 category. I believe women who don't like to stay with man's parents applies to all age group. Regards Ling

I find that large groups of people love him as Bond, and seemingly equal numbers hate his portrayal. Moore was the first Bond I ever saw in the theater (A View To A Kill). Daos

My favorite Bond with one of my favorite cars from the series. Connery is so dashing! It's hard to believe that Fleming actually pictured Bond as a young Hoagy Carmichael instead. I can imagine why many people, like yourself, don't care for the newest Bon...

Niven's comedic take on Bond was from '67 according to IMDB. I've actually seen it, but as comedies are not my preferred movie genre, I don't think I was the right audience for it! Now, both the original and the new remake of The Italian Job are great fun...

Have you seen Defiance with Daniel Craig? Great film. I was surprised. I have to admit that at first I wasn't a huge Daniel Craig fan although I recognize that he is good in the James Bond role. It was Defiance that changed my mind about him.

I haven't seen Defiance yet, but want to.
