Sport watches I love solid. Dress watches I prefer see through caseback.
It really depends on the watch, the level of finishing, etc. I vote 50-50 😊. All the very best, Alex
I mostly favor see-through case back if the movement is nicely made and decorated.
However, for some re-edition models, I do not mind a solid caseback because it is much more closer to the original vintage models.

Most of my modern Seiko's have a see through case back
Though, I think some of the solid ones can as interesting. On my wish list is a watch with a solid case back with a gold medallion on it. I've no idea why other than I like the aesthetics of it & only the wearer knows. Cheers JML
