I also wonder given the size of the new movement will we see its base form in an even smaller sized watch? It seems from the pictures there are some mm to spare and so perhaps this shows up in a 37mm manual wind also.
I think this release makes me more excited about what Grand Seiko will show next month.

I suspect this "new" movement is just a simplified 6S37 auto chrono movement (or 6S74 manual winding chrono) which is an almost 20 years old movement. I owned the 6S chrono and I can tell you it is a high quality and very accurate mechanical movement. But...
