Looks great - really like the finish on the dial. Is it in steel. Cheers JML

It's Titanium
By: rnaden : August 10th, 2017-07:47
Seiko's bright titanium....so light you sometimes forget it is on the wrist

I had the chance to see this model irl and it's truely well finished and absolutely brilliant. IMHO, this is far nicer than the boring 253, Congrats!

253 boring? I must disagree kind sir. The 253 has become a "darling" of watch collectors and especially here on the forum.
By: edtonkin : August 10th, 2017-07:33
There are many adjectives to describe the lovely 253 but "boring" is not one of them. With all due respect.

contemplative is the correct word. I love the watch but 'hate' the numeral name, '253'. Maybe I dunno enough of what it means.

Am I not allow to express my opinion?
By: benlee338 : August 10th, 2017-19:52
I still find the 253 incredibly boring. And I have actually seen and handle it. Different strokes people. No need to get upset.

I don't think Ed Tonkin was upset :-)

You are correct to say 253 is boring as it's meant to be a companion of our exciting life I saw that you love JLC Geophysic and I would think you will enjoy 253 too. Guess not.

My JLC Geophysic can look boring as well. LOL. But I kind of admire it's internal beauty ( true sec movement is not common or easy to do ).

The 253 dial may be more plain
By: sham1 : August 13th, 2017-01:29
but the blue hands are so beautiful and add a much needed contrast to the watch.
