My seiko 6217......
Guys, i’m
not used to post here, use to post at JLC forum. But this one I really would like to share with you. I
bought it from a friend of mine last year, with an aftermarket dial and hands, in
not so good condition. I really like the watch, but I was without hope to find
an original dial and hands for it. So, I bought a new aftermarket dial, and a
set of aftermarket hands and installed on it. I kept myself looking for an
original dial and hands, I adore the color and finish from the original dial,
but I was looking without much hope to find one in good shape for a reasonable
price. Few months ago, I tried a last shot and sent an email for a great guy
that use to have a lot of Seiko parts and for my surprise he told me that he
had a NOS dial that he was keeping for himself, but he decided that he could
sell it for me as he gave up restoring one 62 for him. So I bought it! It
took something like 45 days to arrive to brazil because of Brazilian customs.
Last week I finally got it and had it installed! Meanwhile, a friend of mine
gave me as a gift a set of original hands and I also hade it installed! Well,
enough said, let’s have so photos……
Best Regards,
Cesar
