It is so difficult!
To truly appreciate the quality of the hand finishing of this watch and it remains one of the hidden gems in the watch world. Totally understated and almost a bargain as I understand its finishing is at least as good as a Voutilainen and very close to a Dufour's Simplicty (Credor had sent two watchmakers to spend time wiith Philip Dufour to master the finishing techniques). The thing is that if you gave someone a choice between a Vingt 8 and a Eichi II, 4 out of 5 collectors will opt for the former. The Eichi II looks somewhat colder but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I think it is definitely more exclusive, highly accurate (due to the spring drive movement) than most watches on the planet (apart from possibly a Roger Smith!) I always equate the Eichi II to the old Honda NSX which was a sublime car but which many failed to appreciate at that time opting for the more conventional 911 and Ferrari. But for people in the know, the old NSX as is the Eichi II is a lot rarer and a future classic.
Well done on owing a masterpiece and thank you for the post and photos!
Best wishes,
Sham

For some of us, the 'nothingness', the 'blandness' in this piece is exactly what some collectors are looking for when seeking for the Simplicity. That makes watch collecting interesting. What you choose to wear on your wrist may or can reflects what you w...

You need to see the watch in metal. The movement finishing is definitely right up there, at least equal to Dufour's. This has been mentioned numerous times by those who have inspected various examples of this watch. I have seen 3 examples of Eichi (both 1...
