I love the honest simplicity and beauty of the dial but cannot have the same opinion of the movement finishing.
Maybe it's my poor eyesight, maybe photographic distortions, but the edges around the mainspring (at about 9 o'clock and 10.30) look distinctly uneven,,,
I would be pleased to be corrected.

You know what? Seiko, like other big japanese firms, lacks of unique and distinctive design. it's not just a matter of mechanics, but mostly of aesthetics. If i could, i'd buy a Roger smith, Voutilainen, Hajime Asaoka instead of this seiko.
