Although I will not be getting the SLA017J1, it certainly is a nice offering from Seiko, especially with the GS grade 8L35 movement.

Count on me in this Club as well!!!!!!! Mine is going to be delivered end of August!!!!

At first I wasn't sure if I liked how shiny the watch was, but those concerns have disappeared as I've spent more time wearing it. Very glad I pre-ordered, and thank you descartes1. Your comments about having seen and being impressed by the watch at Basel... 

The diamond rubber that comes with it is nice but I really like the tropic strap so may give that a try.

The Tropic really does look great on the 62MAS and will look equally as good on the SLA 017
