I think this might be a painful thread.... Over the years, sometimes by mistake and sometimes as part of a trade, we let some watches go. I remember letting this 6263 Daytona go as part of a trade for a 1665 Patent Pending. I never regretted getting the 1...  

This one, I always think about it: Tudor Submariner 94010 M.N, but it went to a great and friendly home: This GMT 16750, but I had to fund a 6542, and went into another great home: I sold my Yachtmaster but re bought it. Same for a 16 520. So, at the end,...  

......I regret many, but the 6263 is a particular regret as it came from the original owns and had its original bill of sale etc. I also think the red DAYTONA is a special Dayto.

not really hard to replace .. even if you want one with " everything " and in extramint conditions ... or even if you search the rarest combo ( PN dial with RCO printings ) .. the only 6263 extremely hard to replace would be the one with Oman crest ( and ... 

the only watch I regret ( altough has never been mine ) it's the f.. ing " desert " ( or " black " ) submariner ..... I only had it in my hands for a couple of hours but was love at first sight ...

A mint 1675 that I traded in for a root beer later. The biggest regret is still the one I haven't bought.... a COMEX which has become a grail obsession for me now.

I wanted to have a sub and gmt and dayto and so as a collector you need them all but as I refined my focus and expanded vertically I found myself more in touch with the depth within the models. I guess in the future If was going to have one dayto it would...

It just did not fit my theme. At first I wanted one of each range sub, explorer, chrono etc. but then I refined my approach to go vertical within the models so 5512 has several variations so I followed the vertical approach. Bill

......what if you can get a massive grail watch from another collector, but ONLY as part of a trade for a watch that is in your current collection? What if that collector will not accept cash as he really wants the watch you have and will trade for the on...

If it really was the ONE and the only possible way to get that one would be to let go of something else.... I guess it would be a case by case decision. Depending on what the one would be and what the something else would be.... Best, my mind game playing...
