A Rolex you really regret letting go - 6263 Daytona for me

I think this might be a painful thread.... Over the years, sometimes by mistake and sometimes as part of a trade, we let some watches go. I remember letting this 6263 Daytona go as part of a trade for a 1665 Patent Pending. I never regretted getting the 1665, but in retrospect I do wish I had hung on to the Daytona. What Rolex have you let go and now regret? If Miranda is watching.....you are excused from this thread as I am not that cruel!
For the eagle-eyed, that is not a double printing of the T SWISS T at the bottom, just a quirk of the reflection of the scan!!
......I regret many, but the 6263 is a particular regret as it came from the original owns and had its original bill of sale etc. I also think the red DAYTONA is a special Dayto.
not really hard to replace .. even if you want one with " everything " and in extramint conditions ... or even if you search the rarest combo ( PN dial with RCO printings ) .. the only 6263 extremely hard to replace would be the one with Oman crest ( and with a damned consistent case too ...). 6263 it's a beautiful watch indeed but not certainly a rare one due to the very big number produced in 17 years. just for comparison .. my " estimate " ( LOOLL ) is that the ratio of 16520 R and L ( up to L 350.000 .. so only watches with " special dials " ) vs steel 6263 is in the range of 1: 12. PP is another stuff .... almost no more around ( and at prices much higher than 2007/8 ). so your choice has been very smart ...
the only watch I regret ( altough has never been mine ) it's the f.. ing " desert " ( or " black " ) submariner ..... I only had it in my hands for a couple of hours but was love at first sight ...
A mint 1675 that I traded in for a root beer later. The biggest regret is still the one I haven't bought.... a COMEX which has become a grail obsession for me now.
In the beginning I wanted to touch all the various flavors

I wanted to have a sub and gmt and dayto and so as a collector you need them all but as I refined my focus and expanded vertically
I found myself more in touch with the depth within the models. I guess in the future If was going to have one dayto it would be a screwdown Newman.
....I once sat next to a guy at dinner and we started chatting...turned out he was a big vintage Rolex fan. I asked him what he liked, and he said Paul Newman Daytonas. I was fascinated.....I owned two at the time...a 6239 and a 6262. I asked him which ones he owned......his answer:
"All of them"
In disbelief I asked him what he meant......which was a big mistake....as he then went on to explain that not only did he own each reference, but also each variation within each reference!!
It just did not fit my theme. At first I wanted one of each range sub, explorer, chrono etc. but then I refined my approach to go vertical within the models so 5512 has several variations so I followed the vertical approach.
