If you don't mind me asking, how often did you wear that DJ? Was it a daily? Or did you save it for special occasions? I always wonder how much I should wear a watch that is supposed to be for someone else.
With your son, did you try to engender an appreciation for this hobby? It may just take a little time for him to appreciate watches. And certainly, I think he will appreciate it as you get older and as he wants a part of your life in his. Having children of your own tends to give that perspective!

I’m waiting for the SBGW289 from Grand Seiko to arrive. It’s 36.5mm, perfect unisex option for my daughter and for me in the meantime. Great choice with the Rolex and congratulations again!
