Yes, the way the tritium aged was one of the reasons I bought this watch. Also its general condition, and given the fact that the green sticker was still on 18 years after it was sold, I believe this watch was hardly or never polished, and hardly ever worn.
I do like this ivory / light vanilla hue on the indices and hands on a Polar 16570. Whereas I like stronger / deeper tritium patina on black dials, I prefer a more discrete one on this particular model. A strong patina creates too much contrast against the white dial and makes the watch "loud", which goes against one of the qualities I like best on a 16570: discretion.
