Rolex

Thanks everyone…

A bit of backstory—I have been coveting a DJ with blue dial, fluted bezel, and jubilee bracelet for a while. Jay and I spoke about this over coffee in NYC just last month.  When I saw this watch in a storefront it stopped me in my tracks. I went inside and had a look — no box or papers (to my chagrin), but the watch has been serviced (I will learn more about that tomorrow), comes with a one-year warranty, and a certificate of authentication (from the watch shop), with reference and serial numbers documented.

Now, the Grand Seiko (SBGY035) is a beauty, But, I must admit I have considered it for purchase more because of the opportunity (it is a limited edition)  than “it sings to me.”  I have never had a watch with a spring drive or a red dial — so those are unique considerations.

So, the heart factor strongly suggests I lean in for the Rolex. Pending more due diligence tomorrow, I will likely make a reasonable offer.

Once again — I wasn’t expecting so much feedback. Your observations are very special!
