Guess you are right about trying it with a thinner straps. I never tried because I wear it with it´s original riveted Oyster bracelet. I just took it off and put these straps for the shoots.
By the way, I feel that Connery wore his watch with a pass-through 16 mm (not 18 mm) straps. I think this by the way it adjusts to his wrist without the bulk of a true Nato.
Can´t say for sure as nobody knows why they choose to equip Bond´s watch with those thinners straps being it a 20mm between lugs.

I feel Bond´s Submariner was fitted with a 16 mm pass through straps and not a real Nato by the way it fits on his wrist. Who knows the real reason for that. Thank you for your viewing and commenting! Cheers, Abel

Yes, I know well. During all my years as collector I have seen a few Ci marked Tudors but never a BC reference. Much less an ARA signed Rolex or Tudor Subs.
It seems that all these watches had "travelled" abroad to reach US or European collectors, regret to say. But... who knows... Lady Luck some times helps! Lol! Abrazos amigo mio! Abel

Great shots from the film. Here it’s clear that the strap is most probably 16 mm than 18 mm as I suspected. And not a true Nato but a pass through strap. The BC makes for the big difference in character! Thank you so much for sharing!! Best cordial regard...

I feel the small crown Subs have a more refined and fine look and the BC Subs a more brutal or "macho" personality. The stronger case of the BC versions also plays on its character. I love both choices but being a BC the reference worn by Connery´s Bond (...
