Thank you all for making me feel better about the polishing mistake!

Unfortunately, I found two other issues when I went to pick up the watch: The triangle marker on the bezel was not clicking precisely at 12 o'clock, and the hour hand was not pointing precisely at the hour markers either. I know the bezel was clicking into position correctly before service because I checked it after repeatedly having the same bezel issue on my Kermit (which I traded in for a Daytona smile Hopefully, these issues will be corrected when I pick up the watch this coming weekend.

In the grand scheme of things, these issues are meaningless, but my love for Rolex is rooted in their pursuit of perfection and I expect nothing less. My Rolex watches are the only things that come remotely close to perfect in my life. I get a feeling of serenity knowing that I can always find ordered perfection by simply glancing at my wrist. smile

Best,
Ira

Put the watch on your wrist enjoy it and you’ll have new scratches on the bracelet guaranteed. 😉 This are not watches that by a factory polish will change value unless completely ruined , but I doubt that’s the case here ...

I would agree with the last two posts from members...

It won’t be a problem on this age of watch.

This being modern watch there's no effect on the value. People are stressing to much about polishing vs non polishing. Only vintage watches can be affected by that and usually only when the bad polishing job is applied. If done property by RSC there shoul...
