A unique Platinum Daytona made for the president of Rolex Patrick Heiniger
It had a platinum deployment and features a black mother of pearl dial.
It had its own unique reference number: 16516, and is the only Zenith powered Daytona ever made in platinum.
It is coming up for auction at Sotheby’s in October in their Hong Kong 🇭🇰 auction
Estimate is around $500,000: but I think it will become the most expensive Rolex sold apart from the Paul Newman’ PN Daytona sold by Phillips.
