Last night my dealer had a preview evening and 4 course meal to preview the new Rolex range....something I was interested in as I wanted to see the new Sub..!! The head of Rolex UK was there and the whole evening was themed on Pan Am with boarding passes ...

pity I missed a pic of the 5 models as they were dressed in tiny Pam Am cabin crew outfits..!! Legs like you wouldn't believe I know modern Subs aren't quite your thing, but I promise I'll look at a vintage Sub (maybe a 69 year if it was a good one) to pa...

have you been then..? I used to prefere the shop in Macclesfield but this one will do The Xmas doo's are also great as the centre bar area is used for drinks and cocktail staff...I think we polished off at least a 100 bottles of Verve champagne..!! Great ... 

certainly the best AD within striking distance! Very nice staff in the Rolex boutique. Nearly bought the 39mm Exp there late last year. I'm not really a customer though as vintage is my thing; so no invites for these dinners :-( The chap I dealt with like... 

however, i cant see how the new submariner is any different to the current ones. perhaps i'm missing the finer points. why not get the 69 sub for your birthday ? see you soon G

subtle differences but in fact almost every part is different..!! They updated the Sub with the date last year and have done the same tweaks this year to the Sub without date....so it now has the new case with bigger lugs, new strap with solid links inste...  

ok, there are some subtle differences . the solid link bracelet and glidelock clasp are 2 of the nicest IMO. theres nothing worse than your wrists swelling during the day and not being able to adjust the bracelet so theyve won me over with that. having s...  

yeah a few differences - but I love the fact it still looks almost exactly the same. It's just classic Rolex evolution...although some people didn't like the changes to the date version last year my dealer can't get enough of them and it is their biggest ...  

im watching it as well take it from me. 2 wheel racing is far better watched on TV. at the trackside you just get. vrrrmm, vrrrmm as they fly past you. you get it all on the box. G...

excellent ride from Rossi, shame he cant do it in the dry feel a bit sorry for Stoner as hes dropped 9 points in this race and he was top of the tree 1 point above Lorenzo who came first. puts him down to 2nd if not 3rd in the championship. still on the ...  

after this one I think I will be looking for a vintage Sub from 69 (if it was a good year) to have the old v new Moi.

well Rolex arent known for huge changes so i think it would have been an ok year. the 5513 was their most popular and i think the 5512 COSC model was still made then. best G
