Overview of the Rolex Cellini Prince
The Rolex Cellini Prince was introduced in 2005 and discontinued ten years later in 2015.
During this period, five different models were made.
Rectangular case, art deco design, shaped manual-winding movement decorated to match each case and dial: what a fantastic job!
The first two models are my favorite by far: yellow gold 5440 and white gold 5441.

I find these attractive and appreciate the shaped movement.
They are a nice break from the ubiquitous sport watches we are used to. Another side of Rolex.

As I mentioned on multiple occasions before, the Cellini Prince is my favorite Rolex watch ever. The 5442 and 5443 are, easily, my favorites of the collection. I'd happily have either, perhaps just a smidge more preference for the rose gold due to its mor...
I fully understand your preference.
The 5442 offers a perfect mix of traditional and modern aesthetics. Being shaped and not sporty, these watches are fairly easy to find and not unaffordable. Best, Emmanuel

A good friend bought one a few years ago.
That was the first time i saw one in person and i must admit i really enjoyed seeing it on my wrist while playing with it I love the case design and the side profile of this piece . Would love to see the rose gold with black dial at some point on my wrist...

This is where you see the limits of Rolexes, image is overly linked to the Submariners and the likes. These were actually very nice and very well made models that never quite reached their customers.
I saw a brand new fully "stickered" yellow gold version for a fraction of the original price. My guess was that people were buying these brand new, keeping them in safes, just to be allowed to enter the waiting list of Submariners, which is a shame as you...
A shame indeed, but dress watches have become
far less successful than sports watches. Rolex always keeps a dress watch in its catalog: the current one is the 1908, which has its charm, but it isn't as interesting to me as the Cellini Prince. Best, Emmanuel
