My favorite is the GMT Master II. The Submariner is nice, but that polished center link of the GMT Master II adds a bit of refinement. I'd get the Sea Dweller without the cyclops lens if I could find one.
I'm still a big fan of the gold 36MM DayDate on a President bracelet too. That's still a good looking watch!
Rolex overall possesses a very likable line up! Even the weirder pieces like the Milgauss and Explorer II are great pieces. Just so hard to find something I don't like.

I have a few early Panerai which I'll forever own. While my tastes have evolved, resulting in less wrist time than decades past, I'm consistently welcomed by good memories and a big smile on those occasions when I do retrieve them from their secure keeper...

I have to say (and I don't know why) i find the non-polished center link bracalet particularly attractive only on the explorer II, maybe makes it more "adventurous"...

It is interesting to see that many here and there chose the GMT MASTER as their first serious watch. I am one of them. And since my first one, a 16700 I was stupid to let go, I bought several. It is such a charm. Best, Nicolas
