That story just sums it up for me. It is what Rolex is all about. A watch was bought a long time ago to serve a purpose, it stood the test of many years and became part of a family. It was handed down from father to son and is still ticking away and will be passed along to the next generation. That's it! That is what it is all about! Not jewelry, not investments - just a tool watch that becomes part of the family and beats for generations. Congrats!

Sums up the value of a watch, and it has very little to do with price. There are very few things that can be passed on like that, and yet hold countless memories. The watch is still looking pristine too. Congratulations! A great milestone.
