for me "spider dials" are just borken dials with quality problems for a expensive luxury good.
I can still somehow understand the love for "brownies".
But spider - according to my personal taste - is not even beautyful. It is just a broken dial.

There specific models where you find this defect Must have started at the factory at that time period. It may be more specific to a process by the dial maker at a particular time. And it affected the models getting those dials. It is different the the tin...

To me there is great difference between true Rolex dial changes that maintain their perfection and become enhanced by changes i.e. true tropical browns and perfect cream 16550's. Cheers,
