Jon, your assumption is definitely wrong!
I'm not tool savvy, and very reluctant to risk scratching my watches by trying to do things like this myself. So I went to an authorized dealer in NYC a few weeks back and had them do it. Best $300 I've spent in a while! It fits like a glove (they make the straps for specific references) and is oh so comfortable. The rubber doesn't make the watch feel heavy at all. To the contrary. Go try one!

I have considered doing that myself and the only thing that has stopped me is the assumption that the lighter rubber strap would make it feel even more top heavy. Is my assumption wrong?! Is it OK in practice? All the best, Jon

I just meant that by switching the relatively heavy metal bracelet for a lighter rubber strap I thought it may make the watch feel top heavy because the weight of the watch head would no longer be balanced by the weight of the bracelet. If that's not the ...
