Going from modern to vintage is not so easy. Picking three Rolex from the current listed watches was not as hard as I thought it might be. Going through the same process for vintage Rolex has proven much harder. Firstly, should I use the same criteria for...

The diversity is so great and the consistent quality of the output over the decades has stood out. If I could have only 1 vintage Rolex (from both your eras), it would come down to a choice between the PN Daytona and the 6542 GMT and if we exclude any tho... 

There are indisputable must have in your selections, the names being GMT MASTER, Submariner / Seadweller, Milgauss, Expolrer and Daytona. It is impossible for me to give only three references, while I am able to give four or five. For example, I agree wit...

One thing Pre 1966- why only stick to Sports watches So many lovely old chronos, bubble back and other interesting model eg Prince- maybe for another post- Pre 1966 but non sports models? Thanks again for all the hard work J

.....and that opens a whole new can of worms. It makes total sense to include a Prince.....diversity, personality, something very different, importance to the brand. But what would I leave out....aggghhh.

And a mind bender.. not to mention educational (as opposed to just being informative). My set would be a bit more “pedestrian”. Mostly post 66 for me. Sure a PN is a logical choice but I’m willing to drop THE icon for your 1019. Wouldn’t even think twice....

We don’t get this kind of posts a lot here,But I am counting on you for more to come. You actually made me fall for the 1019.The 1665 and 1675 have been on my list for a long time already but now I have three on my Rolex navigator is making my life harde... 

It took me ages to find one....and it came late in my collecting, but its one I will always keep.

And GMT’s....how can you not love them? For me the top Rolex are: GMT, Milgauss and Explorer.
