Rolex has a brand equity that is delivering results. They do incremental improvements (both in and out), to achieve mechanical and usage perfection, and people buy them because of that, and for others because of the brand image. Their philosophy is not about crazy innovations or haute horology finishing. That's a different product proposition on itself.
Now when they do something different, people push back and don't want it, take the Cellini for example or even the Skydweller (in the beginning). In the end of the day, Rolex dislikers will dislike it no matter what they offer...my two cents
With that being said, a new model every once in a while would be nice, and a show of vision and strength, but good looking getting your hands on one haha.
