Rolex

Hi All, I hold a special place in my heart for a CERN dialed (read: blackout) 1019 Milgauss - but unfortunately I do not have the same place in my bank balance. What are your thoughts on a "custom" / modded 116400 with black-out lume and tip-only seconds ...  

for me, i don't go for this PVD'ing and modification. Just for my taste, its a no.

that is like saying do certain "stuff" with your girlfriend that you wouldn't do with your wife!

Will you be happy with it and would you forget the original one? This is just my personal opinion, here, but I think that this kind of " Homage " is not really a good thing. Then, if you send it to Rolex, you may have some issues, as Rolex doesn't accept ... 

I think that dial kicks ass BIG time - just my personal opinion. But there's something about modifying a Rolex that just doesn't sit well with me. It's similar to that whole Bamford & Sons thang which I just don't get......

Your pic is awesome, very, very, nice. Is it photoshop or did you actually relumed the dial/hands that way? The dial is nicer and sober like that, In my opinion, much nicer than a black Pvd Sdds with a red line.........
