In fact I think you have a different look than me
as I'm not at all used to diving in the Subs history and collections. Hence, I see it just like a stand alone watch, on the decoration side.
The white wording gives a little contrast in the dial and balances the minute markings. It also helps not having too much color and golden elements (the case and flange are far enough from my PoV) I think the whole thing works perfectly and wouldn't see it in another color really... Maybe you have another suggestion.
Of course this is very subjective too.
