If I were to buy a DJ today..
Aug 30, 2019,06:40 AM
It would be this style. However, my first luxury watch was a DJ given to me almost 20 years ago from my wife when I graduated biz school. This watch is a classic and will always get wrist time. 36mm (I don’t think there was even a 40+mm option back then).

But again, today, smooth bevel oyster bracelet would be my preference.
Cheers

Although when I look closer into the world of the Datejust and all the variations available, I can find a few others very appealing as well.
I prefer the classic look for a DJ.

Fluted/jubilee. I get a sense of nostalgia - as a young boy I remember seeing these on the wrist of my grandfather and uncles. I view it as my modern, vintage inspired Rolex. The current jubilee bracelet offers supreme construction, comfort and usability....
