I’ve been reading speculation that a new “non-Daytona” chronograph may actually be in the works

Do you think there is really a chance of this at Basel World? It would be a dream watch for me if it was done in an oyster case, monochromatic dial and manual wind like this original from 1965/66.

It’s pretty shocking, actually when you consider what Daytonas fetch and how much rarer of a piece this pre-Daytona chronograph is (estimated to be only 1,000-1,500 produced), not to mention its historical significance (father of the Daytona) and status a...
