I thought I was the only one to think that about the old-new Explorer ll. If the new Explorer were 40mm that would be my daily watch.

I own the older 40mm with a white dial but after many years of loyal service I have retired it.
I’m right handed and wear my watches on my right hand. Why? I dunno. Have always done it that way. My wrist is 7 3/4” but I hate large watches and a 40mm watch fits well on my right wrist.

How do people decide which wrist to wear a watch on? I have been stressed about the size of my new 216570 compared to my 16570. At first the 42mm seemed great, but now I'm just not 100% sure. So I've been combing the internet for conversations about the 2...
Dear Jcroberts, i tried for years to get used to a watch on my right hand

It has not happend as you hope in your post. Maybe you are more rational than i am... a watch on my right hand does not get the same love as on my left. Sounds weird but i hear you kind of have a similar feeling. So: i would not do it. You can really wear...
Thanks for the input..

Personal feeling is hard to overcome. I've had my eye on the 5 digit ceramic GMT for sure. Maybe I'll trade up, or down.. not sure which it is!!
I believe this is where is comes from.

The practice has been, If you are right handed you wear it on your left and vis versa so that 1) if you are writing and you need to write the date down, you check your watch on your non-writing hand. 2) this is the important one. When holding a drink and ...
Point 2 is "on point"

Your intuition is correct

The 16570 should fit better on you than the newer larger iteration. Unfortunately wrist comfort won't improve with familiarity. 16570 just fits everyone better, even larger-wristed folk. I ask to wear my wife's 16570 from time to time as its 40mm case fit...
I'm going to try right wrist for a few days and see how it goes!

I have done it before, and I do remember hitting my watch on doorways and such because we are not programmed to protect the right hand from minor collisions over our life as much as the left hand. Just got to be careful until I can make decision!! Thanks ...
