The authentic modern Omani like the one Nico shows here should all come from the same dealer in Muscat- Khimji Ramdas and they should bear the warranty card from there. I’d be skeptical of one without that provenance.
Also, these are not issued watches, but simply gifts from the royal family (eg to national sports teams, government officials etc.). They seem to be resold mostly through a handful of Italian dealers. I think it’s a cool novelty items at a reasonable premium, but by and large the asking prices are crazy (especially for Daytona’s and sea dwellers, it seems).

While it is probable that the Rolex " Oman " from the 60's and the 70's had some military background, I don't think it is true anymore, with the 116610. Here is one which was recently auctioned, by Antiquorum. Not the only one, as there is also the new GM...

I'm not going to opine on the desirability of an Omani government-issued or official royal family gift watch, but pass unless 1) Rolex itself has included some kind of authenticating document like an invoice with commissioned work listed 2) an attestation...
