I didn't get the call . . . BUT:

Unexpectedly, after a visit at my local AD, I left with a Sub ND 114060 attached to my wrist:

The Sub is the watch that started my love affair with timepieces. Yet, when I started my collection, I would always tell myself, "Perhaps, next time." I would always use my available resources on another timepieces.  I just figured I would always have time to get it some other time - yeah right! LOL!

But, I guess these things happen for a reason. Had I originally bought this 15 years ago, it would have been the Sub Date model. However, as I have grown my collection, I have a greater appreciate for modern interpreted timepieces that reference history. IMHO the 114060 represents the pinnacle of persistence perfection.

I just happened to take a stroll through my local AD this afternoon. He asked, "What's the next timepiece?" When I told him the SUB ND, he asked, "Are you ready now?" I pounced at the opportunity. Who said dreams don't come true!

I bought mine 6 years ago, in the same serendipitous way. Alas, I had to sell it to avail funds, but it will always be on my wish list of watches to acquire again. Wear it in good health ...
