But I like color changed dials , sort of look for them.
When it is due to radium the dial turns olive green. And on black it looks brown. But on white background you see clearly green.
Or sometimes they have a red glow hard to explain .

Your Rolex 5508 is a great catch.
Did you measure the strength or just guessing. With a dial that has no pitting may not be the material you think. Let me know. Bill
