There is one reason we don’t see many of these folks. Do we have any here ???? This being a place where most models are held.

I have owned this 16520 for many years now and love its porcelain dial. This watch came as a full set and is from 1988 R7 serial so defiantly one of the very first 16520’s. As it was this watch which send me Rolex crazy in the early days it is very specia...

Very nice.

All time classic. Question to the forum: is there a view if the Zenith Daytona’s will maintain if not increase in collector desirability in the coming years? I’ve seen lukewarm feedback online and recently in discussions with some dealers, but history has...

Thank you for your reply.

I’ve not experienced Luke warm reaction to the 16520 In fact the opposite and 16520’s becoming hotter than ever. Interesting question though and a similar one to the Patek Lemania V in-house. My thoughts are the Lemania will continue to climb in demand as...

Great Daytona Miles ...

And your absolutely right about it being overlooked recently within our community. Personally I love this model, in design terms it’s difficult to improve on. ...

I think it’s overlooked community wide to be honest.

And what sticks in my claw and always has is that there are simply not enough of them for dealers to hype so what’s is the point. Dealers as we all know have always hyped the PN as some rare variation of a Daytona. A PN is massively more common that this ...

In terms of 16520, it doesn’t get any better, IMO.

Porcelain dial, floating „Cosmograph“, inverted 6 and 200 units bezel. If that’s not a keeper, I don’t know what will be. Best, V.

Agree my friend.

It’s like collecting cars and not owning a Porsche. 😉. A 16520 that is not a porcelain. M.

Agreed Nico.

The warmth is magical. Are there any out there ???? M.

I can’t resist a Daytona Perpetual...

I love the Zenith and the in-house. Great watches. This is my regular wearer and I’ve swum in it in Ibiza, Qatar and Dubai in the past six months. Never drops a second! R ...

i do not own

because it is not my kind of watch. For the money, i know watches who fit me better. I am not a swagger, so my interest goes to Vacheron Constantin for example. Enjoy my watches on my own way.

I have a couple.

Sadly I have not worn them in years I prefer the sub, sea dwellerAnd most of all GMT the best ...

Porcelain diss Dial Daytona is super sweet.

Here is my 16520 of the pedestrian variety but a sweet watch for sure. Rolex 16520 Zenith Daytona. ...

Great shot. I love all 16520’s

M.

700 viewings and no Porcelain dial yet.

 By: Miles_151 : November 27th, 2019-13:27
Are there any out there ???? I was expecting one or two. M.

Sure are Bill.

But I want to demonstrate just how rare they are. Might be a handful at best. I have seen a few later 16520’s with floating dials but very few R7 with Porcelain dials. For me it is only the very first 16520’s that are true Porcelain dials due to the proce...

True my friend.

M.

The stainless steel porcelain is one of the nicest watches Rolex makes.

I stupidly bought one but in gold- it was really brash and stood out like dogs ...lls , The price for the SS was a bit more but I thought I was being clever- should have bough the SS model I sold the gold model as it was too Miami Vice tried to change the...

We have all sold with regret.

But the most important thing is you stuck with your gut feeling. I think this is such an important quality of a collector. I actually really like the Gold version but the right opportunity never happened to buy one at the right price. M.

It has its charm! [nt]

I have only ever seen a Porcelain 16528 with R9 and later serial.

 By: Miles_151 : November 27th, 2019-23:41
Never a R7. This would be nice to find and for me a opportunity I could not miss. M.

Beautifully understated I’d say.

I’m sure this has had much more wrist time than the 16528 M.

Are we saying there are no other Porcelain dial 16520’s here??

 By: Miles_151 : December 2nd, 2019-11:56
With all the collectors from all over the globe. With over 1500 viewings. That is incredible. M.

Nico maybe stash somewhere?

 By: benzng : December 2nd, 2019-16:17

But got an unpolished P-serial WG one here, one of the last Zenith ones: ...

Cool pic. Nice 16520.

 By: Miles_151 : December 13th, 2019-01:35
Enjoy both watch and ice cream. M.

Have we still not seen any 16520 porcelain dials here ????

 By: Miles_151 : September 4th, 2020-09:42
Even rarer than I thought. To be honest with all the collectors here I had expected to see a couple. M.
