He's a sweet character bird for sure, but what a bite!
I was just looking up at the bite force for a large umbrella cockatoo.
Looks like they have been measured at 350 psi. Considering that
the tip of his beak is basically stronger than a coconut, he easily
punctures walnuts and the shells of whole coconuts. I have even
seen him bend a part of a dime. A youtube video shows that it only takes
156 lbs to bend a dime.
