Rolex GMT 1675 18k - Concorde hands mini review.

 By: Bill : April 23rd, 2021-04:20
The reference Rolex 1675 in gold is great model to own. But when it comes to a unique model with very few example circulating the Rolex 1675 with Concorde hands is a rare reference to own. Rolex 1675 18k Concorde hands First why the name "Concorde hands" ...

I have doubts about the name, to tell all...

I saw other ads with mercedes hour hand and the Concorde. Which removes nothing from the mystery of this version, which as you rightly pointed out, seems to have had a very short life, of one year, one year and a half. I saw much less of those than the 65...

Featured flat Hands with ad date refernce 1968 from the magazine. So yes the ad did appear later with Mercedes hands so the story still stands as it was first seem with Flat long hands aka Concorde. You can see the flat hands selling price $1,125 vs the m...

Question please-- have you seen late 60's gold GMT with no dash and 2 tone insert

 By: pastaboy1939 : January 1st, 2016-11:55
and in your opinion is this combo legit?

Hard to say but sounds possible.

 By: Bill : January 2nd, 2016-03:36
The insert is not really the issue as it could be replaced. The no dash combined with mercedes hands also sounds like it could be a good match. For a better idea the serial range and a picture would be helpful. But in any case no real alarm bells. Bill

Thanks Bill, will see if I can get the serial no. on Monday.

The reason the gmt reference with concorde hands is important is the unique nature just like the gmt with dauphine hands. Very short run. Bill

Love this reference, and I think if I ever buy a watch in a colored gold it will be a 1675 or a 1680.

They came after the gold no crown guard 1675 which shared the same style dial with the dash. With Rolex we never say never, I was not in the factory in 1968/9 nor am I the original owner, but my experience is that the dash is without a doubt correct while...
