Looking into making a new watch purchase, narrowed it down to a few brands but probably the most coveted is the Daytona. Here's the thing - I don't want the SS one. The ADs in Paris do not have waiting lists, and the watch sells at 40-50% premium online -...  

I honestly think this is better than steel

Dial is fantastic to see. I also own the black dial steel. Both lovely watches but the WG is my choice between the two.

you have a very nice eye. I also adored the WG and Black Dial Stainless Steel

and also the full WG bracelet/steel bezel models 116509 (in blue dial as well) I would love to know if you considered either of the 116509 models and any thoughts you have. I have not been able to see one in the metal at any ADs yet. I don't think I am to... 

I know the full PM versions each have a different dial, however the weight would be an issue, plus as I mentioned having full SS Nautilus makes full SS Daytona a bit redundant in my eyes.

But typically I like a heavier watch in the fall and winter. So that is why I was thinking you could change to the rubber bracelet for comfort & lighter weight when necessary. and then have the option of WG bracelet for when you want all precious metal fe... 

If I could assume the WG on Oysterflex, I'll buy it too. Both are cool and the Oysterflex is really confortable.

But if you dwell deeper on it then you notice how captivating this one is: all cleverness and prestige that Rolex stands for.
