Over the past few weeks, I have become accustomed to the mild swirls... no way to prevent those... but once you get acquainted with them... and enjoy the character the PCL's undeniably and wonderfully contribute to the bracelet and watch itself... and how strikingly different overall they make the appearance of a watch... and how classic their appearance is in this case, anyway... I have to admit, I have become completely disarmed and love the DJ41 totally. I wear all my watches with careful enjoyment... but this one may, ironically, become the one I wear the most 'carelessly'. On another note, just the watch itself... the DJ41 delivers 100% on the concept of an everyday watch elevated to the Rolex level... VERY understated with Oyster bracelet, but a touch of 'Rolex flair' with fluted bezel... (not flashy but reminds the wearer it's a Rolex) I love it. As I said before, it reminds me of the kind of watch we look for when we start looking for ' a nice timeless watch.' Except that the DJ epitomizes that idea rather than a substitute... a relaxing, understated, timeless choice... with all the robustness of a sport-Rolex, the pleasure of chronometer time-keeping... and security of Rolex 'value.'

I think your reply is probably right... not a deep question, certainly... just a design element Rolex buyers swoon at... and who can blame them.

I've owned my BLNR since 2017 and Milgauss since 2014 and no scratches on the center links. Not to argue the point but my polishing cloths don't scratch them either. Nothing stays new but scratched isn't, in my experience, inevitable.

I didnt mind the pcl on my milgauss even if i wouldve preferred it to be brushed. I’m naturally careful about my watches so the pcl didnt get scratched as much..
On your question, i think the quality of the finish probably trumps the scratch issue. The pcls sparkle where others would just shine. And its just silky smooth too. Thats probably what thry thought as well. Also, its easy enough to get buffed out at the ...

Thanks for the update! I have been thinking about the dj41 of late, particularly the 2tone oyster/smooth bezel champagne dial. Must be me being in my 50s. A couple of years ago, i would have raised an eyebrow with anything 2tone!
Either that or a 2tone bluesy.. wishlist for now but who knows when i get bitten by the crazy bug :p
